The stage of life when emerging career aspirations must be nurtured and supported in specific ways.
For the 15-25 age group, professions within the dairy sector are not well-known. As a sector, more than 60 different professions resonate with the need for meaning expressed by young people, notably preserving professional know-how, and the social value of producing foods rich in heritage. Dairy sector careers offer great opportunities for those keen to retrain and embark upon a new career path.

The Cniel is taking action in two key areas: first, making the industry more attractive by improving social and economic performance; and second, increasing the visibility of job opportunities. Communicating on career perspectives is crucial. To this aim, the Cniel is collaborating with Onisep (the National Information Centre for Education and Careers), as well as the French National Education and Agricultural Education bodies, and is launching a comprehensive communications programme specifically targeting young people.A dedicated governing body was created in 2020.
