Information

(Noun)

A steadfast desire for product transparency and clarity, and to provide all the required information on the label.
Labelling is the link between the dairy sector and the consumer. The denomination of dairy products is at the heart of the Cniel’s activities, which include playing an active role in discussions and initiatives, both in France and Europe, with the aim of improving consumer information through labelling. The Cniel ensures that regulations protecting dairy names are respected.

We remain firm in the belief that it is in the consumer’s interest to avoid any risk of confusion between products and that producers and processors should have the right to fair competition.

Providing clear and transparent information is a prerequisite to improve the level of consumer confidence in dairy products. This is a commitment we make through France Terre de Lait.
