The France Terre de Lait social responsibility approach is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.These 17 goals respond to global challenges around poverty, inequality, climate and environment, prosperity, peace and justice.
The dairy interprofessional body has structured its action plan around 4 performance areas, which are further broken down into 8 objectives, each accompanied by quantified assessment criteria, and aligned with the UN global goals.
For example, our objective “To improve the carbon footprint of the dairy industry” aligns with the UN Goals 12 & 13: “Responsible Consumption and Production” and “Climate Action”.
The purpose of the France Terre de Lait initiative is to gather the engagements of the sector and to bring visibility to the progress achieved.
