Dialogue & Communication

(Noun)

The capacity to render a sector more efficient and ambitious by coming together more often to share information.
France Terre de Lait embodies the commitment of the entire dairy sector to consumers and stakeholders alike.

Within the dairy sector, dialogue and communication are an essential part of daily activity: at interprofessional level and with our various boards,as well as the wider public, elected representatives, public authorities, local stakeholders, scientific experts and partners.

As an interprofessional body, internal communication within the sector is our raison d’être. Engaging with external stakeholders and representatives of civil society is an essential element of the of ISO 26000 principles.

The dairy sector has also committed to engage with consumers through a consultation forum. This engagement is invaluable for sharing market insights and capturing a realistic view of the market and business landscape, debunking preconceived ideas, identifying areas of agreement, debate or even discord, and prioritising potential projects to identify solutions that suit all parties. The dairy sector remains in regular contact with animal protection NGOs on topics such as pasture access; with environmental protection NGOs on topics such as protein autonomy and soy plant deforestation; and more recently, with NGOs representing sustainable exports and consumer associations.
