France Terre de Lait is committed to the continued progress of the French dairy sector.
France Terre de Lait is committed to the continued progress of the French dairy sector. The ‘Engagé RSE’ (‘CSR engaged) label presents a benchmark for an interprofessional body to assess its standard of CSR initiatives and determine areas for continuous progress in the future, with a long-term perspective.


The labelling criteria includes governance, consumer information, environmental protection and resource management. The assessment criteria proposed by the Afnor Group align with the ISO 26000 international norm and focus on dialogue with stakeholders, and overall social policy. The French dairy sector has achieved level 3 of the Engagé RSE label through the France Terre de Lait CSR initiative.


Progress achieved by all the actors of the dairy sector as a whole is at the heart of our collective ambition. Programmes for improvement are currently underway, founded on 8 ambitious objectives linked to 4 interdependent areas of performance. Progress must take place simultaneously across all these commitments; just because we are performing ‘well’ today does not mean we cannot strive to do even better in the future!
The objectives within the France Terre de Lait initiative enable everyone in the dairy sector to take action by aligning their own efforts with the collective progress initiative.
